History Happenings
This activity is a great way for students to visualize what they are learning. Instead of them reading about a particular event in history, the students must locate historic photos that deal with the event that they are studying. Once they have located the photos, they will copy and paste them into a powerpoint presentation that they will present to the class. To make it more interesting, each student could focus on a subtopic within the main era the are studying in class.
The Smithsonian is a great website to use inorder to find pictures!
